Creating something Unique

Every commission begins with a conversation.

A particular design idea. A favourite material. A distinctive body style. Sometimes the inspiration is clearly defined. Sometimes it exists only as a feeling or ambition. Whatever its starting point, Morgan’s special projects programme provides a framework through which deeply personal ideas can be conceived, explored and realised.

Design Consultation

Ideas evolve through an ongoing creative partnership. Morgan’s designers work closely with each client to explore proportion, surfacing, materials, colour and detail, refining concepts into a cohesive vision. Every decision is considered in the context of the whole vehicle, ensuring the final outcome feels resolved, authentic and unmistakably Morgan.

Collaborative Development

From the earliest stages, designers, engineers and craftspeople work together to explore what can be achieved. This collaborative approach allows ambitious ideas to be challenged, developed and refined, often revealing possibilities that would not emerge through a conventional development process. It is here that creativity and technical expertise become inseparable.

The Art of Coachbuilding

Once a direction is established, commissions are brought to life at Pickersleigh Road through a unique combination of human craftsmanship and contemporary engineering. Aluminium is hand formed, wood carefully shaped and every element of the commission is refined by the same skilled craftspeople responsible for bringing every Morgan sports car to life.

A Vision Realised

The completed commission represents the culmination of a shared creative journey. Material selections, bespoke details and individual design features come together to create a singular expression of its owner’s vision. No two commissions are alike, celebrating the individuality that sits at the heart of Morgan coachbuilding.

Beyond the Commissions

Morgan’s special projects programme builds upon the company’s longstanding tradition of creating highly exclusive, low-volume commissions and one-off vehicles. It provides a framework through which deeply personal projects can be conceived and realised in close collaboration with clients.

Operating alongside production of Morgan’s core models, special projects create opportunities to explore ideas, materials and manufacturing techniques that may not be possible within a traditional production environment. In doing so, they help develop the skills, knowledge and expertise that underpin both current and future Morgan vehicles.
